Yuba Raj Paudel
I am a young public health professional working in Nepal for nearly five years. Most of my work has been focused on Family Planning and reproductive health. From January 2015, I have been working with Nepal Health Sector Support Program (NHSSP) supporting effective implementation of FP pilots that are aimed at testing innovative service delivery interventions to reach under-served rural areas in Nepal. Despite earthquake and embargo, our collaborative team work led us to successfully completing the FP pilots. My role included supporting FP service delivery at districts, tracking progress, and suggesting to take corrective actions, if any.
I have authored FP related publications highlighting FP needs of postpartum mothers and Nepal's rural areas.
Since,FP is one of the cost-effective public health programs,it helps countries to produce healthy citizens who can contribute to the prosperity and development. Family Planning enables women and couples to decide future for themselves and their children. It helps couples to fulfill their wants of whether to have children or when to have, at what timing and spacing. FP gives immediate as well as long-term return for the country and families therefore, I feel greatly satisfied working in FP .
