Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I have been engaged with The National Family Planning Coordinating Board of Indonesia (BKKBN) in East Kalimantan Province since 2014. I helped to execute a camp for 80 youth participants named "Kaltim Youth Population Camp" which included education about FP. I have been touring schools and campusses to speak in a seminar and workshops to raise young people awareness about what actually Family Planning is. In Balikpapan, i assist local government who take over FP issues (Government of Society Empowerment, Women Empowerment and Family Planning Office) to make a creative program in terms of engaging young people to address this issue. In a community i initiate, we also put FP as an important issue to be addressed which reflected into our youth friendly programs such as interactive workshop.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

To give comprehensive explanation in a creative yet friendly way. Especially in my neighborhood where most girls under 19 has been married and becoming a mom of 1-2 children. I find it so challenging to promote family planning even in my area where I live at.

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I want to have a social business where the product is also becoming a part of solution for social problems. Also I want to get married (i would be 29 in the next five years) and keep involving myself into youth issues including keep promoting FP & SRHR to wider scope of society.
