Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I know the health and economic benefits that family planning can have plays a large role in the process of development in a country. I devoted the theme of my master's thesis on "The use of modern contraceptive methods among youth in Godomey: Issues, representations and needs" Godomey is the largest district of Cotonou, Benin. I hope that the results of my study will be used in the pilot phase of the implementation of the policy of exemption from payment of modern contraceptives for the adolescents and youth in Benin. I actively contributes to remove barriers related to the acceptability and accessibility of modern contraceptive methods. As such, I took part in a series of advocacy to religious leaders, local officials, national authorities, private sector and international organizations

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I actively contributes to remove barriers related to the acceptability and accessibility of modern contraceptive methods. What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

the biggest challenge is to offer innovative solutions to boost contraceptive prevalence to youth levels. I succeeded thanks to my studies and I hope that after the presentation of my research work, I could mobilize the resources to experiment it.

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

In my country, the challenges are enormous across both urban and rural areas. the focus should be on youth friendly centers offers reproductive health services including family planning in Benin.

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

in 5 years, I want to contribute to the strengthening of the geographical and financial access to modern contraceptives through my innovative project based on cost-effectiveness in Benin and in the sub-region. especially with my project "Youth Space" in schools and other learning centers
